When are you done?

So, today I wondered.. “When are you really done?”
You can define this in many ways. Its a bit easier to tell when my weekend bathroom remodel project was “done”, but even then, I could put some more time into it, eventhough its already done. Is it really worth it, would anyone notice if I puttied the last few brad nail holes? probably not, so I’m done.
What about software development. Done is a bit harder to define when you are writing software. I’ve just had a nice long discussion on what “done” is with one of my last stories (we use a form of agile here). Done is when my story overlaps with another story, or when clearly defined as hitting a boundry or cutoff. So, now I’m done!
